Darius Gumauskas

Born in 1974. 1992–1997 studied at Lithuanian Music Academy, Department of Theatre and Cinema under Dalia Tamuleviciute, graduated with a Master degree in acting. Played under direction of Eimuntas Nekrosius and Dalia Tamuleviciute. One of the leading actors in Oskaras Korsunovas theatre, created several important roles under direction of Oskaras Korsunovas: Gary in Shopping and Fucking by Mark Ravenhill, 1999; Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare, 1999; Petrik in Parasites by Marius von Mayenburg, 2001, Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet by W.Shakespeare, 2003, Valya in Playing the victim by the Presnyakov Brothers in 2005, Laertes in Hamlet by W.Shakespeare, 2008, Actor in The Lower Depths by M.Gorky, 2010, Trigorin in The Seagull by A.Chekhov, 2014. Gumauskas was awarded as a best actor of the year 2010 for the role of Actor in The Lower Depths by M. Gorky.
